LA PAZ, July 27 (Reuters) - Bolivia is being roiled by a campaign to move the capital that threatens to deepen regional splits in the South American country and overshadow constitutional reforms led by President Evo Morales.
The idea to shift the seat of government from bustling La Paz high in the Andes mountains to slower, colonial Sucre emerged during discussions at an assembly rewriting Bolivia's constitution.

1.8 million people joined the demonstartions lasting two days,marching in a large happy throng through the city and up to the Alto (the poorer town surrounding the city proper)

Although this was one of the biggest civil demonstartions in South American history it was hardly reported internationaly. Many demonstartions continue throughout Bolivia, some political,some to do with the taxation of mines and others concerning Cocoa liviehood.Some of these protests end in violent clashes with the police but also many stay peaceful.

Demonstration has become part of the national Psyche in Bolivia,but also with this movement , comes a type apathy and the acceptance that change may never really come b ut we wil protest anyway.

Masquerading as a people movement the public and Goverment workers demonstrations in Bolivia continue,as does the manipulation of its indigenouse people and the ever growing resentemnt continues over goverment corruption as it does elsewhere in South America.
